  Cooked in beef dripping fresh to order - we were really looking forward to the large tasty cod cooked in this traditional way. We waited patiently for approx 24/25 minutes and was really disappointed, giant overcooked piece of rock hard batter. I could hardly break it, so hard it was clear it had been left in the fat too long and if there was 1.5 ounces of cod inside my piece of batter I'd be lucky. My boyfriends was a larger piece of fish but still over cooked so the cod was tough as leather and brown as the batter. Worst fish I've ever been presented with, mine went in the bin and we went home to eat as we were hungry. Absolutely gutted, very expensive inedible batter with a hint of fish!

  The best fish and chips I've ever had. Deep fried Wensleydale is amazing. Their onion rings are better that the fish in most places. This is the chip shop all others should aspire to be.

  Greated with a warm welcome, their Fish and Chips are the best around! All cooked to order so served piping hot straight from the fryer. Their homemade pies are award winning (try them, you'll see why) Lamb & minted potato and Steak are among my favourites.
